There's not one but two branches of the super cheap Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo. This, though, is the flagship store. The three floors of bargain basement staples may not have the fashion cache of Zara or Topshop but it competes with them in terms of price and quality. Their jeans are hotly tipped by fashion editors and they do a brilliant line in affordable cashmere jumpers for the winter, available in every hue. With both Oxford Street stores designed by interior expert Masamichi Katayama, founder and principal of Wonderwall, a stroll around the brightly lit rails and neatly stacked shelves gives an authentically Japanese retail experience.
